PATIENT’S SHARING EXPERIENCE:

"The difference is huge. I though I was taking a risk by going to Hungary for dental treatment, but the only risk I had been taking is living with those horrible teeth".

“After visiting two dentists in the UK, I was advised that I would need at least 2 dental implants then possible dental bridge work but quite rightly so they couldn't say anything more until I had x-rays. Whatever, they were talking sums of money that I could not afford. I then heard by chance an advertisement on local radio of a Hungarian dentist visiting Heaton Moor Stockport Greater Manchester."

“The dental trip went well. The driver was there to meet me…They gave me lots tourist info; I went to Bratislava by bus, stayed the night, went to the opera & came back the following day. I also went to Vienna only 1hr 15 minutes away by train, last Friday & came back Monday lunch time."

“Hungarian Dental Travel catered for every detail in my dental trips to North-West of Hungary where extensive dental work was carried out. In total, I have travelled there on four occasions during the last fourteen months. I arranged my own flights to Vienna and was picked up by car and driven across the border to the Hungarian spa town at no expense to myself. "

"Excellent results after my trip to Hungary. I would like firstly to say A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO MY HUNGARIAN DENTIST and his excellent team for doing such a good job with my teeth. I would highly recommend his dental skills and efficient treatment. Please do not hesitate to go if you value your health."

“Like a lot of people in the UK, I had read newspaper articles about people having serious problems after going abroad for dental work, but I can honestly say for me, it was one of the best things I did in 2007!

“I'm an American living in Paris. When I needed dental work done, I went to dentists in Paris who told me I needed a complicated bridge made, so I had French dentists do all the preparatory work, including root canals. But when I found out they wanted $13,000 for the bridge itself (and the Americans wanted at least $8,000), I just had to find another solution."

If you think you are a candidate for Aneasthesia or sedation in Hungary

Dental anaesthesia for many dental patients is quite straightforward often using a hypodermic needle to insert the anaesthesia into the area to be treated. As technology advances in the dental industry, there is now more choice for dental patients and there is a growing demand for dentists to offer a choice of anaesthesia and sedation to meet the needs of the patient.

Local Anaesthesia

This is by far the more common type of dental anaesthetic.

It can be administered in different ways by the dentist as follows:

- Injection (traditional)
- The Wand - Computer aided dental anaesthesia

Injection

Just like tens of thousands of dentists around the world, our dentists mainly use injection to administer the local anaesthetic into the gums.

- A special dental gel is applied several minutes before the injection
- The Dentist can administer the anaesthetic with little or no pain to the patient which is possible if done correctly.

The Wand - Pain Free Computer Aided Dental Anaesthesia

The Wand is a clever piece of equipment. The dentist just has to touch the area that is needed to be aneasthetised and wait a few minutes. The advantages are as follows:

- No pain at all from the needle
- It aneasthetises the immediate area only
- It is more comfortable for the dental patient.

The Wand is not suitable in all situations but dental implant patients have commented on how well it works for them. The wand is not offered by all of our dentists. The Dentist will charge an extra £25 for this service.

Dental Sedation & General Aneasthesia

For those patients that have a fear of having dental treatment then various forms of sedation are on offer by our dentists. Our dentists are specially trained to help dental phobia patients overcome their fears. It is helpful in the first place that the dentists have the right attitude towards their dental patients.

Our dentists can offer a range of dental sedation to take the edge away depending on how much support the patient needs.

Dental patients that suffer from gagging or have a low pain threshold during dental treatment can also seek advice from the dentist about using a mild sedative before treatment.

Dental patients that have back problems and cannot sit in the dental chair for long periods of time can also consider sedation.

Oral Sedatives & Anti-Anxiety Tablets

This is by far the most common method of sedation before dental treatment starts. There are many types of dental sedation available. The Dentist will spend time getting to know the dental patient and prescribe the most suitable sedative for the patient. The dentist will also take into consideration the type of dental treatment.

The patient will feel less anxious about having dental treatment and will become calm throughout the dental treatment..
