Michelle and Mark, a couple from Blackpool, decided they needed a dental makeover, as the state of their teeth affected their everyday life. Michelle needed dental bridges and dental crowns replacing.

Camilla was trying to get into modelling but her smile lowered her self-confidence and also her chances of receiving serious offers, so she decided to search for a suitable dentist. However the price of the smile makeover hit her hard.

Hungarian Dental Travel - Testimonials

R Orr / Epsom, Surrey

Hungarian Dental Travel catered for every detail in my trips to Buk Furdo where extensive dental work was carried out by Dr Horvath. In total, I have travelled there on four occasions during the last fourteen months. I arranged my own flights to Vienna and was picked up by car and driven across the border to Buk Furdo at no expense to myself.

I stayed at the Hotel Corvus, half board, which was inexpensive and the package included pampering such as foot massage and magnetic therapy. This small spa resort is very pretty and boasts a large thermal spa only five minutes walk away, as was the dental surgery.

A great deal of attention was given to the cleanliness and sterility of the dental surgery and Dr Horvath was very experienced and kind. He provided me with antibiotics, analgesics and brushes at no additional cost.

The treatment that I received included, bone augmentation, dental implants and bridging, all provided at a third of a cost of prices in England.

I thoroughly recommend the services of Hungarian Dental travel for arranging dental treatment in Hungary.

Lynn Bird / Paris, France

I'm an American living in Paris. When I needed dental work done, I went to dentists in Paris who told me I needed a complicated bridge made, so I had French dentists do all the preparatory work, including root canals. But when I found out they wanted $13,000 for the bridge itself (and the Americans wanted at least $8,000), I just had to find another solution.

I did not know what to expect when I called Hungarian Dental Travel, a dental tourism agency I found on the internet, but I liked Chris right away, the man who answered the phone. He spent several long phone calls with me explaining what I needed to know about various options (the different kinds of materials available and prices). He allayed fears I had about going to a foreign country alone without speaking the language and about things in general (the hotels, the town itself, credit card payments, and about the dentist's qualifications). I knew from American friends that I not only wanted a well made bridge, I also wanted a dentist who knew how to expertly fit the bridge so I would not have problems later.

There were several options in Hungary, different cities I could go to. After he knew what I needed, Chris suggested Gyor, a medium sized town not far from the Austrian border with a dentist who has his own lab, Dr. Jozsef Szocs, D.MD., a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. I thought I wanted to be in Budapest, to see the sights, but as it turns out Gyor is a beautiful little town (with health spas I will certainly take advantage of the next time I go) the main section of which is almost totally pedestrian, and only an hour from Budapest (and the same fromVienna – I visited them both). My final decision was made when Chris called Dr. Szocs who said he could make my bridge and fit it all in a week. The hotel was very reasonable. I could afford to go.

An Hungarian/English interpreter met me at the airport, carrying a sign with my name on it when I got off the plane in Vienna. She and a friend drove me the hour back to Gyor where arrangements had been made for my hotel stay. The interpreter gave me her number and remained in contact with me all week, even inviting me one night to Slovakia where we had the best sauerkraut I have ever tasted. (She later asked the restaurant for the recipe, got it and emailed it to me).

The first morning, Monday, a dental assistant met me at the hotel and we walked to the office, about five minutes away. It was a neat and friendly place. Dr. Szocs spoke English as did his young assistant, and the entire office staff, including the lab technician, was kind and efficient. That first morning Dr. Szocs removed my temporary bridge and by 3 in the afternoon I had a new one to wear for the week. The lab technician who was making my bridge came upstairs to see me during my various visits, which was very reassuring. He was able to personally
