Trust is an Important Issue!!

Trust remains one of the biggest challenges in dental tourism within the United Kingdom and Ireland. Although a small percentage of people who travel to Hungary for dental treatment do so on principle, the decision by most people to travel to Hungary for major restorative dental treatment is price driven. If dental patients can afford or are prepared to pay western dental prices then for sure patients would have their treatment done locally to where they live. This quite naturally leads to questions.

The price of dental treatment in Britain and Ireland is around 3 to 5 times more expensive than treatment in Hungary. In 2011 it was reported that 77,000 British dental patients travelled to Hungary for treatment. The main reason was cost compared to having treatment at home.

The main questions that people ask before travelling are:

– Do you offer consultations in the UK before I travel?

– Can I meet my dentist in the UK before I travel?

– How much will it cost?

– What happens if I need aftercare?

– Is the treatment guaranteed?

All of these questions are frequently asked and are quite legitimate.

One of the ways in which we restore trust is by providing patient consultations at our London dental clinic. We can also provide treatment at the clinic as well as aftercare and possibly guarantee work in the rarity that it arises.

Hungarian Dental Travel offers patients UK consultations at our dental clinic in Bloomsbury, London just 1 minute walk from the British Museum.

UK Consultation

The UK consultation is a fantastic way to start your dental tourism journey. Firstly you get a chance to meet the dentist face to face without having to travel all the way to Hungary. It is a great way to determine how comfortable you are for your new Hungarian dentist to treat you.

Our dentists are not only well qualified with many years experience but they are competent, friendly and can communicate with you very well. They will explain everything. The advantage is that if you don’t feel comfortable with the dentist then there is no obligation to continue your treatment and you haven’t really lost anything.

During the consultation the dentist will examine inside your mouth and make a record of what is found. It may be necessary to x-ray your mouth so that the dentist can see decay, fillings, and cracks in your teeth, cancer, cysts and bone loss which are not visible to the naked eye. Many patients are interested in dental implant solutions and the x-ray provides valuable information when planning dental implants.

Once the examination is complete the dentist will discuss your dental circumstances. This is an ideal opportunity to let the patient know what your objectives are and ask any questions that you have. Most importantly the dentist will deliver a solution to get your teeth back to A1 condition.

After you have left the dental clinic the dentist will make up a treatment plan and send it to you in a few days time. The plan will indicate which areas of your mouth will be treated and what will be done. Most importantly the plan will show the cost of the treatment. We deliver the cost of your dental treatment in two ways as follows:

1)     Cost for treatment which will be carried out in Budapest

2)     An alternative option if you want some or all of your treatment at the London dental clinic.

There is a price difference between the two options and the same dentist that you saw for the consultation will be the same dentist to carry out the treatment whichever option you choose.

All treatment is guaranteed and you do have the peace of mind that all dentists who operate from the UK have been thoroughly vetted by ourselves and are registered with both the GDC (General Dental Council) in London and the department of health in Budapest.

You also have the peace of mind that your dentist is using branded quality materials and treatment is fully guaranteed. If a patient has any concerns or problems then we can quickly book the patient in for some aftercare in the London dental clinic.
