Cosmetic Dentistry is the art of restoring and improving a persons appearance, especially when smiling. Many British and Irish dental patients travel to Hungary for cosmetic dentistry procedures. There are some very skilled experienced dentists and dental technicians in Hungary that can create perfect smiles at a fraction of the cost of cosmetic dentistry back home.
Dental crowns are a very common dental procedure whereby British and Irish dental patients travel to Hungary for the very best dental treatment.
Crowns can be made from several different material types but the two leading materials are:
1) Porcelain fused to metal
2) Porcelain fused to zirconium
Zirconium is the most expensive as the colour of the structure is white rather than a metal colour. The quality of manufacturing should be the same for both. A badly made crown would not look very nice in either material so the importance is the skill of the Hungarian dentist and Hungarian dental technician. A nice fitting crown can be achieved as follows:
1) Correct size – If the crown is too big or too small then it will not look cosmetically nice
2) Nice shape – The dentist must achieve the right shape so that you have a natural smile and great function.
3) Correct tooth shade – There are many different shades of white. The dentist will determine the right shade by matching against your existing teeth and skin colour.
In my experience, Hungarian dentists can generally achieve the highest possible cosmetic affect.

Veneers are a popular treatment but dentists in Hungary don’t really like to take veneer patients on. A veneer is a thin shaped porcelain shell that is bonded to the front of your teeth. They can make crooked teeth look straight as well as giving discoloured teeth a whiter colour.
Only 20% of applicants are good candidates for this treatment and veneers can require regular maintenance. It is less problematic if veneers are done locally to where you live. Maybe your Hungarian dentist can do this in the UK also? Some Hungarian dentists can offer treatment in Hungary or in the UK depending on how they work.

White fillings are a cosmetic alternative to silver / amalgam fillings which look and feel great. White fillings look much better than silver fillings and are much safer too as they don’t have mercury in them.
Your dentist should be able to place a white filling without it being noticeable that you have had a filling.

Inlays are used when a large filling may weaken the tooth structure and a crown would take away too much tooth structure during preparation. An inlay is made from porcelain by a dental technician who will work from an accurate impression of the tooth.
